Kent Combined Events

+Veterans Champs


Swale had their largest turnout to the Combined events and Veterans championships this year with 7 atheltes competing across the two days.


The large turn out was well rewarded as the team collected 12 championship medals!


Bobbie Cornelius was the busiest athlete int he team competing the U20s Heptathlon. She won Gold in the event that saw her collect 5 PBs.

Meanwhile Alice English showed how much she's improved this season, finishing 8th with a new best of 1886pts - over 100pts increase.


Carl Beech won his first Kent Veterans Medal as he powered down the 100m sprint in a new best of 14.24sec to take Gold.

U15 boys 200m

Kent Relay Champs

Swale capped of a great 2014 season at Canterbury for the Kent Relay Champs last weekend (21-09-14) with 7 teams racing they improved 5 PBs and set 5 Club records.


The mens team set the starndard in the opening race as they came round the Medley (200m, 200m, 400m, 800m) in 4.10.2min to win the race and take the gold medals.


The season long race between the girls and boys 4x100m teams was settled, the girls increasing their lead with a 57.1sec race in the morning. As the boys entered the U15s Final the chopped 3.5sec of their best to finish 4th in 54.7sec

Club Championships 2014

18 Swale athletes traveled to The Marlowe Academy at the weekend (06-09-14) and finished their track season with outstanding results.


Nearly 20 Personal Bests were recoreded at the match. James Judges (Pictured) scored two as he landed 3.07m inthe Long Jump and ran 2.06.9min in the 600m.


Marcus Jennings put his efforts in raining into proactice int eh sprints as he crossed the line in his first sub 13sec 100m with 12.8sec, while in the 200m he knocked of over a second to time 25.9sec


James English (U13) closed in on the 3m mark in the Long Jump with his best of 2.91m while Reece Williams (U15) cleard 4m for the first time with 4.01m.
