Record Sportshall Weekend

Swale athletes enjoyed a great competition of Sportshall Athletics at Folkestone for match 2 of the Kent Sportshall Series as three county records were set and a top performance from our under 11s.

Under 11s A team turned out their highest ever finish as the quartet of William Jury, Jamie Berkman, Violet Bing and Rachel Cockell scored 100pts to fall just 5.5pts shy of winning the match.

BOTH Jamie and Will broke the Kent under 11s Javelin record. Will added three meters to the old record with his throw of 28.00m before Jamie sent a rocket to 29.75m, winning the event with new Club and County records.

Freya Jury was in dominating form in the under 15 girls event as she won 3 of 5 events, finishing 2nd in the other two.

Highlighting her day by equalling her own County speed bounce record of 95, Freya won the age group by nearly 100points.
