Swale had 21 athletes compete at Ahsfor on December 8th for the Kent Championship Sportshall competition.
Swales largest sportshall team yet this season came away with 18 medals!
Markus Simmons beat competition favourite in the U15s speed bounce by scoring 83jumps and no fouls. He claimed the Gold with a clear 5 jumps between himself and 2nd place.
Reece Williams took the bronze in a close vertical jump competition, sliver medal was just 2cm ahead of him in the end.
Sam and Jessica Daly, Marcus Jennings, Katie Scoones and Lewis Rayfield also picked up medals.
There were three under 11 teams competing, Isobelle Jackson taking 11th in the Vertical Jump out of 79 athletes. While Phoebe Pomeroy was 6th in the Ball Throw out of 76 athletes.
Swale had a good showing at Deal this month, and some unusually nice weather..
201 athletes lined up on Deal seafront for the 5 mile event, Swale had 6 of those runners, with 4 of them in the top 50 finishers!
First Swale Athlete back was Rick Hudson finishing 16th in a new PB of 30.40min. He was followed by Andrew Scoones in 26th lace clocking a PB of 32.32min.
Next across the line was Michael English in 40th place with 34.58min a new ersonal best. Close behind in 45th was Mat Beech in 35.23min.
Carl Beech just tucked into the top 100 finishing 98th with a new PB of 42.35min. Richard Scoones was the 6th runner, crossing the line 116th in 44.16min.
In the 1k event Alice and James English wone their age groups, Lucy and Katie Hudson also completing the course.
Swale had 16 athletes competing at the last sportshall competition of the season.
All athletes did very well, the under 11s teams finishing 7th and 17th overall. Swale 1 stormed though to win their heat of the relay.
U13 girls team were just beaten in the team event finishing 2nd with 2330points! Ellie Walker was 2nd in the 4 lap race, and won the triple jump while Erin foot was 2nd in the triple jump and shot.
U15boys had Markus Simmons in action again, hi finished 3rd overall, but won the speed bounce with a new PB of 84 jumps, it marks his 4th win in the event this winter.
