Club Championships 2017
Swale Combined AC is happy to announce that we will be joining Thanet AC once again for a combined Club championship competition.
The hugely popular event will take place on Saturday 2nd September at the Royal Harbour Academy Athletics Track in Ramsgate.
The match is kindly hosted by Thanet AC and will feature a full list of events, the perfect chance to get that final season PB.

First English Schools Qualification
Alice English earnt her first selection for the English Schools finals with the Kent team. Competing in the Heptathlon, Alice posted two PBs on her way to a new Hepth best score of 3756pts to finish 3rd in the South East Regional Round.
The finals at Boston, Lincs, on Sept 16/17th.

Strong Performances in Southern League
Another round of personal bests and club records were set at Match 4 of the Southern Athletics League in Horsham.
Elena Jury, pictured, ran a strong tactical race in the 800m which came down to a sprint finish against the athlete from Kent AC. Elena hung on for 2nd place in 2.35.0min. Elena went on to record a 400m PB of 68.9sec for 3rd Place.
Meanwhile, Alice English added 68cm to her best in the Shot Put to take 2nd place with 7.77m and a new Club Record
Ramone Gayle set PBs in the 800m with 2.18.2min for 2nd place before a strong 200m sprint of 26.2sec.
Swale Finished the match in 3rd place overall.

Combined Events Record Success
Zoe Francis set a Hurdles Club Record, 3 new personal bests and an equal PB on her way to a new Club Record in the Under 13 girls Pentathlon at the Kent U13 Combined Events Championships.
Zoe hit her rythm straight away in the Hurdles, timing a Club Record 13.22sec to win her heat, the second fastest race of the day. Followed by a new PB of 3.88m in the Long Jump saw her take 4th place after two events.
Zoe landed 5.60m in the Shot before an equal best in the High Jump of 1.20m. With one event to go Zoe had already past her previous pentathlon score. Zoe was also in the fast race of the 800m and finished her day with a best there of 3.01.07min to take 6th overall and 1657pts
