A 15 Strong team traveled to Medway Park, Gillingham, for match 3 of the SAL. Finishing 3rd overall the day was highlighted by the 4x100m Relay teams and another PB for Markus Simmons and a huge PB in the 400m Hurdles for Keeley Burdge.
Keeley Burdge had a breakthrough race over the long hurdles as she held her form in the last 100m to steal 2nd place with a 9sec PB of 77.52sec.
Meanwhile in the field Markus Simmons set his 4th consecutive PB in the Triple Jump with a landing of 10.64m. The performance was his highest finish of the season with 2nd place.
Senior Womens 4x100m team set a new Club Record as smooth changeovers and strong running gave them 2nd place in 58.91sec. The mens team were also looking good as they came through in 2nd place with their 2nd fastest time in 3 years, timing 48.57sec.

Swale had 15 athletes attend the main County Championships at the Julie Rose Stadium, Ashford.
The team performed well early in the season to come away with 1 Silver medal, 5 bronze, 9 personal best and two club records!
Swales only Silver medal came from Mike Farrell in the Senior Mens Javelin with 22.05m. Meanwhile James Butler (pictured) threw just 1m shy of his best int he Under 20s Javline to take 3rd place and Bronze with 41.75m.
Bobbie Cornelius (pictured) ran in the Senior womens Hurdles taking 3rd in 21.49sec for her Bronze.
Markus Simmons improved on his recent Triple Jump best to claim his first ever championship medal with a new PB of 10.54m in the U17s event.
Alice English showed good form in breaking the Club Record for the 300m Hurdles, improving the mark by almost 3 seconds with a close 4th place finish in 51.33sec

Swale Combined AC are growing! To help us maintian a high level of coaching for our athletes we need volunteers interested in Coaching or Officiating.
Swale are looking for Track and Field officials to join our team.
Choose from Starter/Marksman, Timekeeper, Track Judge of Field Official.
Getting qualified requires a one day course and then its up to you how much you get involved. The club will pay your course fees!
Swale are looking for coaches particularly interested in Sprints coaching to join our team. You'll work with our coaches to help plan, lead and review training sessions, developing and encouraging our athletes.
Assistant Coach is a 2 day cours and again course fees can be paid for by Swale AC

New members must attend an induction session before starting. There is currently a short waiting list before the next induction which will be scheduled soon.
However we do have spaces for under 15 boys (ages 13 + 14 - 13yrs before Sept 16 and not 15 untill after August 16)
