Kent Sportshall Series


Swale boasted their largest ever team turn out for the Kent Sportshall athletics match held at the Swallow Leisure Center, Sittingbourne.


28 Athletes made up the team, which won 9 medals at the match.


Alice English won the U15 Girls competition for the second consecutive match with a score of 729points


William croucher made his debut in a Swale vest, and won the U13 boys vertical Jump with 50cm, ahead of Swales George Spalding in 3rd with 46cm.


Amelia Williams and Lori Secrett were top for the U11 teams as they finished the Ball Push in 7th place

Regional Sportshall Finals

Kent were well represented at the South East Regional Final in February with over 30 athletes in the team.


Three Swale athletes earned selection for the team, following impressive performances in the county matches.


George Spalding was with the U13 boys team and came away with a best of 45cm int he Vertical Jump.


Reece Williams was 37th in the U15 boys event with a good Standing Long Jump of 2.19m.


Alice English was Kents top U15 Girl as she finished 14th with a new Shot Best of 8.05m


Kents team results are as follows:

U13 Girls - 5th - 358 points

U13 Boys - 7th - 328 points

U15 Girls - 6th - 402 points

U15 Boys - 5th - 427 points

Awards Winners

Over 80 athletes, parents and club members filled Bapchild hall at the weekend to celebrate a very successfull season.


Two Kent Champion trophies were presented, along with Kent Vets medals, Club Championships medals, and 22 Club Trophies and Shields.


Alice English took top honours with the Female Athlete of the Year Award. In 2014 Alice set new High Jump, Long Jump and 800m bests, taking her onto the UK rankings for all three. Alice was also awarded the Jumps and Combined Events Shields.


Andrew Scoones was awarded the Male Athlete of the Year Trophy following his impressive 7sec increase over 800m to gain his UK ranking.
