Southern Mens League

Swale's Senior Men finished their League season at Medway Park, Gillingham with a host of personal bests and a new Club Record.

 

Their efforts were enough to see them to 5th place in the Southern Mens League Division One East.

 

Andrew Scoones was on top form taking three personal best, plus a club record in the 800m with his time of 2.02.8min.

 

Marcus Jennings landed a long jump PB with 4.59m, taking him to 4th in the B event, while onthe track he timed 27.6sec int he 200m for his 3nd PB of the Day.

U15 boys relay team

 

KYAL Match 4

Swale saw 14 athletes compete at the final KYAL match of the season and our atheltes rose to the occasion, pulling out impressive PBs ont he track and field.

 

Erin Foot closed in on the 75m Club Record with her run of 11.3sec, a PB that moves her up the UK rankings list.

 

Kieran Friar took over the top spot for U15 sprinting at the club as he crossed the 100m finish line in 12.5sec for 2nd place and the Club Record.

Ira Devibar was just behind, pulling a massive PB to run his first sub 13sec with 12.9sec.

 

Alice English made sure the sprinters didn't steal the show as she raced the 800m. Stuck to the leaders all the way round, Alice chopped 6seconds off her PB and 5sec off the Club Record to run 2.36.9min.

Southern Womens League

Swale had 4 atheltes at the K2 Athletics Track, Crawley for the third match in the SWL.

It was another hot day at the track, but the team kept their cool and collected a handful of new PBs:

 

Katie Scoones ended a long wait for a personal best in the sprints as she crossed the 100m finish lin in 14.5sec, a quick enough tim to move her to the top of the femal club rankings.

 

Chris Lynch was also looking good, taking care of the throws with a Discus PB of 15.58m, further securing her 19th spot onthe UK rankings list.

 

Bobbie Cornelius cleared the 100m Hurdlesin a new record time of 20.8sec.

 

Meanwhile Alice English covered the U15 events with her hat-trick of 1st place results, noteably a Long Jump PB of 4.35m and 75m Hurdles time of 14.5sec.
