Match 1 - Lee Valley - 25-04-15


Nine Swale athletes travelled to Lee Valley Athletics Centre on April 25th where they collected a massive 9 Club Records to set the Club on its best League season start for over 10 years.

 

Alice English was on her usual good form, winning the Long Jump with a CR of 4.42m before heading on to set a personal best and CR in the 800m in 2.36.8min.

 

Keeley Burdge completed the Long Jump double with Alice as she won the B event with 3.80m. Keeley went on to set her first individuall Club Record in the 80m Hurdles witha time of 16.8sec.

 

The team entered both relays and set records in both! the 4x100m team of Emma Wickham, Katie Masters, Francesca Marshall and Titilola Williams finished 3rd in 60.0sec

 

Meanwhile the 4x400m squad of Katie Scoones, Keeley Burdge, Bobbie Cornelius and Alice English set their record at 4.59.4min for 2nd place

Match 2 - Little Marlow - 06-06-15


Swale Laides team had another great turn out for match 2 of the SWL. 8 athletes made the lenghty journey to Marlow and came away in 3rd position.


Titilola Williams was in top form for the under 17s, setting an equal PB of 14.9sec for 2nd in the 100m.

Titilola took two more 2nd place finished, with performances good enough for two Club Records: She cleared 1.40m in the High Jump before moving over the 9m mark for the first time with a landing of 9.07m.


Bobbie Cornelius took a win in the 100m Hurdles wit a time of 20.6sec before clearding 1.25m for 2nd in the B High Jump


Meanwile Vilma Farrell handled the distance events on the track, seting a personal best in the 3km of 15.46.0min for 3rd place.

Match 3 - Erith - 04-04-15


14 athletes took to the track at Erith for match 3 of the SWL, every member of the team coming away with a PB, three of which were UK rankings.


Keeley Burdge and Bobbie Cornelius set the tone for the day, both winning their first events; Keeley int he 300m Hurdles with 58.5sec and Bobbie over the 400m Hurdles in 81.4sec


Titilola Williams put it all together in the Triple Jump to improve over half a meter to take 2nd place with 9.73m.


Alice English chopped 4sec off her 400m best as she crossed the line 2nd in 64.8sec.


Katie Masters, in her second Javelin competition, increased her best to 28.26m, narrowly missing our on the win.
